A Master Weekend

So, a few weekends ago Neil and I made a weekend trip to Atlanta to participate in the 2010 Atlanta Bar Golf Classic. A friend of ours, Alex Bunn, started this event to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta.

So, what is bar golf? Each team of four and individual receives a score card. There are nine holes, or bars, that you must visit and order drinks from. At each bar you have a list of drinks you can order to make a certain score: par, birdie, etc. At the end of the course the team or player with the best scorecard receives the famous green jacket. Of course, it wouldn't be a party without some tacky outfits. Neil and I decided to dress up like Tiger and Elin Woods, and we won the costume contest!

The remainder of the weekend consisted of watching the real Masters and a trip to Ikea.

Neil with some of the other golfers at the bar. Neil was pretty envious of his green jacket. This guy was the winner for the previous year.

I'm not sure who this girl is or what she is dressed like, but she got J5's attention! Hahaha.

There ended up being approximately 450 golfers at the pub crawl, and only one score card was turned in at the end of the night. The next morning we found out that Neil would have won if we had only turned in his card. Guess there is always next year, Tiger.

And, of course, around 5000.00 was raised for the Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta. Way to go Alex!
